Since March there has been a massive shift in tone among the most prominent voices in what passes for Traditional Catholic Media, also known as Trad Inc.
This has caused a vacuum that is slowly being filled by Chris Jackson, The Catholic Esquire, Fr. David Nix, Steve Bannon, and a few others.
The truth-telling efforts of these brave men stand in contrast to the seemingly well-coordinated messaging campaign of the most popular Trad Inc. influencers. The situation reminds me of what took place after the 2013 conclave.
Back then it was: “Francis is humble, he rode the subway, the media is misreporting his words, there is a translation issue, it's refreshing he speaks off the cuff, just relax!”
Now it is: “Leo inspires hope, he wears nice vestments, those who report on his liberal statements are doomers, it's refreshing we have a pope who speaks English, give him time.”
This narrative is even being pushed by SSPX hype man Kennedy Hall, who receives a paycheck from the neo-Catholic, pro-Leo outfit Crisis Magazine.
Hall has previously admitted (embarrassingly so I might add) that he is fine with Novus Ordo bishops ordaining SSPX candidates to the priesthood, which should tell you he doesn’t have a clue about what Archbishop Lefebvre stood for.

Hall has also told Joe McClane (a nice guy who has kindly reached out to me and has promoted my fundraiser following my dismissal from LifeSite) that he is angry that some folks use the term “Trad Inc.” to describe the obvious gatekeeping efforts employed by himself, 1Peter5, Eric Sammons, The Remnant, and others against those of us who do not fall slavishly in line with the “approved” Trad communities.
Side note: Kennedy promised me he would have me on his podcast last December to discuss my latest book but he’s since ghosted me (how manly!) despite multiple private messages trying to hash things out. What I did to offend the man, who knows?
With the dismissal of John-Henry from LifeSiteNews, one can’t help but sense that Trad Media (and by extension the crisis in the Church) has entered a new era.
Bishop Williamson used to say that the future of the Church will be in “pockets of resistance.” By this he meant the faith would survive but in small communities of Catholics ostracized by the Conciliar Church.
This is plainly evident today.
The dire nature of the situation is made worse by the desire of mainstream semi-Trads — and even the SSPX — to put themselves inside (“let us try the experiment of Tradition!”) the ecumenical Pantheon of the Vatican II Church.
The “pockets of resistance” analogy can also be applied to the Catholic media landscape since the most recent conclave. How so? Because independent voices and stand-alone influencers are the only ones telling the truth about the crisis in the Church anymore. In other words, all the major outlets have been captured and are falling in line with Deep Church-approved messaging. Liz Yore had something to say about that on her recent War Room appearance. I myself was recently asked by the Catholic Register, a Canadian news website, about what really happened at LifeSite this past week. More specifically, I was asked to comment not only on John-Henry’s ousting but my own firing as well.
I won’t, and cannot — legally speaking but also out of basic charity to LifeSite — discuss the ins and outs of my time working there. We will all find out on Judgment Day what the facts are.
Side note 2: McLane told Hall during their conversation that “a source” at LifeSite has informed him of the details of my firing. I won’t be engaging in a tit for tat about this subject. All I’ll say is that my removal was done without warning and with no chance to rectify the situation. Click here if you would like to donate to my GoFundMe campaign.
Anyway, here is what the Catholic Register sent me:
Look, I get the desire to know “what really happened” but I’m not going to blab information that is clearly only being sought in order to attack those who are resisting the modernist hierarchy in Rome. So I responded with the following statement:
“The nightmare that unfolded during the 12 years of Jorge Bergoglio’s reign of terror was a gift from God that woke many Catholics up to the crisis in the Church. Some media outlets responded to the graces that are being offered in these times and they were given the ability to see — and the courage to report on — the errors emanating from the imposter Synodal Church in Rome, which owes its diabolical origins to the coup d'etat carried out by neo-Modernist clergy at Vatican II. It seems to me today that those same outlets are choosing to ignore Christ's words in the Gospel of Matthew ("Seek first the kingdom of God, and all these things will be given to you") and instead have deluded themselves, in the name of a false prudence, that they should treat Leo as if he is substantially different in his outlook than his heretical predecessors. Catholics hungry for the truth are now being left with small, independent voices on social media and elsewhere who are courageously crying out in the wilderness, at the risk of great personal suffering, by warning about the wolves who are dressed in sheep's clothing. As Our Lord said in Luke 19:40: 'I tell you, if these were silent, the stones will cry out!’”
This summarizes the situation of Trad Inc. quite well I think.
At the end of the day, everyone seems to be turning into EWTN and the US-based National Catholic Register these days when what we really need is the complete opposite of those propaganda machines. May God send us more voices willing to speak the truth in these dark times.

Add the name of Fr Isaac Relyea to the list.
I was exposing these problems for years and LifeSiteNews dismissed me like McElroy dismissed Richard Sipe. See: www.gomulka.net and https://johneighteenthirtyseven.substack.com
