Excellent interview. Keep doing what you're doing!

Mr. Jackson said: “ It breaks my heart to say it, but if LifeSite abandons the role it once played, calling out apostasy no matter the cost, then yes, it will become an appendage of the Deep Church.

Not by selling out entirely, but by softening, deflecting, pivoting to safer moral stories, while avoiding what it once called “the war for the soul of the Church.”

And:

“ If LifeSite wants to survive as a prophetic voice, it must choose clarity over caution. Otherwise, it’ll still be around, but as a ghost of what it once was.”

And finally:

“… Catholicism that tries to bridge Rome and its base by saying just enough to keep both.”

Observation: Could not all of this be said of the post-2007 SSPX (ie., the year it announced its new editorial policy at Tge Angelus, commencing its non-combative branding campaign), and especially since 2012 (when it began actively purging its own ranks of those who would not abide this sellout for the sake of ingratiating itself to modernist Rome)?

Is there any doubt that the SSPX itself is now part of Trad Inc., firmly in the grasp of the Deep Church?

Yes it can be said of the SSPX.

This is an excellent discussion! Thank you!

I agree that written debates are much better. No one side talking over the other and much more room for proper references and for completing one's point.

There's such a debate from the 1930's that took place between Fr Ronald Knox (probably better known for his English translation of the Bible) himself a convert from church of England and his opponent writer Arnold Lunn, an agnostic and critic of the Catholic Church. Shortly after the debate Lunn was received into the Catholic Church and was more impressed with the charity and humility of Knox than with Knox's superior arguments. The debate was hosted by a certain newspaper if I'm not mistaken and later transcribed into book form. Although now out of print it can be found on ' Internet Archive' below for free reading.

"What’s being called Catholicism today is unrecognizable to every prior age." It's hard to refute sedevacantism with this in mind.

And Leo is worse than Francis.

Chris, the Sedes have been screaming about the explanation and logical reasons for their position. They use defined Catholic doctrine and dogma along with infallible pronouncements from pre-Vatican II popes. Read those- you can find them on the CMRI website. After reading all of their articles, you’ll become a hard and firm Sedevacantist like me and many others. We’re not in schism or heresy!

Great interview, tells it like it is. You're doing great, Steve! (I love the pic of the reporter in his Fedora hat slugging down coffee while writing on a deadline, by the way.)

I've been following Mr. Jackson's Substack for a while. I had no idea he wrote for The Remnant! I've followed them for years!

In 10 years visiting the Remnant, I have only twice read an article by Chris. Why do I remember? Because they stood out very clearly amongst the rest. Clear, precise and to the point. Extremely well written without any waffle, and to gild the lily, he was talking sense!

There needs to be proper debate / dialogue between Trad Inc and sedevacantism. I recently posted an article here on the hope of inticing such a debate. See below.

It's strange that the WM Review is given such credit here when the superb NovusOrdoWatch has been toiling in this field for much longer and deeper.

At any rate, if Chris Jackson is a genuine lover of truth, he'll become a sedevacantist. We'll see.

Novus Ordo Watch is more polemical and snarkier. WM Review is more scholarly and concise, though NOW has produced good scholarly material.

Wonderful interview. I thank you.

As for your reference to Matt Fradd and Trad inc. podcasters that have gone soft, well... let's call it for what it is, shall we? They have been infiltrated. We know who is truly running the Vatican and the world for that matter.

We are not dealing with simple ideologies or mere feelings, we are fighting a war of a darker implication.

The systematic belief of Communism hiding under the umbrella of "Modernism", has long been instituted by the "dark" side and it will lead to the complete destruction of not only our lives, but of the planet.

It is now almost impossible to blindly follow most top influencers without fearing for the damnation of our souls.

Again, I very much appreciated this interview & look forward to more insightful articles.

Bless you both. Sylvia from Twitter

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Someone really needs to do a deep dive into the Novus Ordo rite of episcopal consecration: the lack of understanding and courage on the part of so many makes me wonder if that rite, if valid, lacks some elements that the old rite had (You get what you pray for.) or, if the new rite is outrightly invalid and we're living in Henrician/Elizabethan England writ large (globally).

At this point, I'm morally certain that the Byzantine and other Eastern (no change in rite) bishops are valid, and those from Abp. Lefebvre's line and of some of the sede lines.

My head's in a whirl with all this stuff, but I must press on to the full Truth no matter the cost!

Our Mother of Perpetual Succour, aid us!

However, the Eastern rite bishops and priests also named Bergoglio and now Prevost as pope in their Eucharistic prayer at Divine Liturgy.

Glory to Jesus Christ, Al!

Ya, the una cum issue is still a problem, but that's an issue I've put aside until I get the episcopal consecration validity issue figured out: one thing at a time for me bc, coming from a normal, healthy Traditional Eastern Catholic milieu in my younger years (Gramps just started getting Social Security! 😊), my head's been spinning of late with all the evil that's come to light!

Nostra Mater de Perpetuo Succursu, adiuva nos!

Glory to Jesus Christ, Jeremiah, on this Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel! (I grew up in Philly near the Carmel, and used to go to the Novena there. Sadly the place is destroyed now, soon after they went Traditional.)

THANK YOU! Much to ponder!!

(I'm a Great Flood Geology specialist, so a comprehensive data set and valid paradigm are vital to me for figuring things out.)

Review my pro-Life arguments to great success in 2+ key articles, God's Will.

Using Constitutional and Natural Law I argue that The State must make major changes or make illegal Abortions or Loose the monopoly on violence, and father or any adult willing may replace the father and have same legal status of father with moral, legal, natural rights and obligations to protect his child from extrajudicial murder.

This is in the form of a letter to a Bishop but contains two main arguments. 1st extends Saint Thomas Aquinas' damage from sin, 2nd uses modern psychological method to same ends, the Key-Log that is at fault.

These also provide a antiAbortion argument that does not depend on an unborn existing.
