My opinion: one of the main reasons, if not THE main reason for V2 was to acquiesce to the accusation by influential Jews that the Catholic Church through the gospels (especially the gospel of John), and its liturgies (especially the Easter triduum) is entirely to blame for the Jewish version of the Holocaust. The council was infiltrated by judaizers like Fr Gregory Baum, who left the priesthood in 1974 to marry a nun (sound familiar?) and who helped to write the document entitled “Anti-Jewish Elements in Catholic Liturgy” presented to The Secretariat for Christian Unity by the American Jewish Committee on November 17, 1961. Documents like these (see attached) are very eye-opening to say the least. Get ready to encounter powerful forces fighting against any condemnation of the heresies in V2 documents. Somebody has probably already done this but I couldn’t find it. Here are the pertinent paragraphs: Referring to the situation of the Church today, the Holy Father affirms that he has the feeling that "from some crack the smoke of Satan has entered the temple of God". There is doubt, uncertainty, problems, restlessness, dissatisfaction, confrontation. We no longer trust the Church; we trust the first profane prophet who comes to speak to us from some newspaper or some social movement to chase him and ask him if he has the formula of true life. And we don't warn that we are already masters and masters. Doubt has entered our consciences, and it has entered through windows that instead had to be open to the light. From science, which is made to give us truths that do not detach from God but make us seek even more and celebrate with greater intensity, criticism came instead, doubt came. Scientists are the ones who most thoughtfully and painfully curve their foreheads. And they end up teaching: "I don't know, we don't know, we can't know".

I would add Benedictine monks Brother Peter and Michael Dimond of Most Holy Family Monastery in the "Traditional Catholicism" category too.
