Keep up the good work, Stephen. A 1972 Loyola, Chicago graduate here. How did you survive it? But I know, dead bodies flow downstream, and you weren't dead.
"Francis rode the subway..." Right, with his right hand obviously inserted into his shirt, in a typically Masonic pose.
"Aside from Raymond Arroyo’s occasional criticisms, EWTN..." I like Raymond -- he pushes criticism as far as he can without losing his job. But ultimately, he is not one to follow. A phrase used by my old TFP friends describes EWTN perfectly: "White heresy," a jargon that indicates a sentimental mentality that manifests itself primarily as a sweet piety and a non-militant and relativistic doctrinal position, which always makes excuses for others, including enemies, under the pretext that they deserve "charity." I would rather listen to Protestant radio than to EWTN.
While I agree with the examples you provided of how Leo is really nothing more than Francis II, I believe you missed an even more important similarity which involves his cover-up of sex abuse in the Church. After three months, Father Marko Rupnik and over 150 bishops identified by http://BishopAccountability.org of having been credibly accused of sexual abuse have yet to be disciplined by Leo. Both popes failed to discipline abusive clerics, the majority of whom are guilty of the homosexual predation of teenage boys. See: https://drjulesgomes.substack.com/p/mega-exodus-rocks-us-catholic-church
My first inkling that we didn't have a valid pope was seeing Francis on the loggia after being elected & his first words were "Buona sera!" i.e. "Good evening!" Then after witnessing his abominable words & deeds for a few years I came across "Papal Imposters"
The main fear- I believe about these R&R folks- is that they were born into the Vatican II church and have never known anything but the Novus Ordo and the heresies of Vatican II. To sweep all of that away would mean for most of them that the rug would get pulled out from underneath their feet along with what they believe is the true Church. Sad, but I feel it’s true.
Yes, not a very promising 100 days. Will Leo´s Vatican have the gravitas to take on the AI surge, the surveillance grid, the mark of the beast? Early signs would suggest not. On my list for 100 days was a mea culpa sign that Covid shutdown was wrong. Nothing on that either. Good that Bishop Strickland is calling him out. Vigano is right on target.
I know Bob is not the pope. I've been a sedevacantist since 2019 and a 1958 sedevacantist since 2022, after watching the Dimond brothers videos at vaticancatholic.com. I wrote about my journey here:
This is a reply to another sede on a different post.
And did Padre Pio subscribe to sedevacantism? No! Did Fr Gabriele Amorth leave the Church of Rome and become sedevacantist? No! Did Cardinal Ciappi? Did Ratzinger/Benedict XVI? No but you and your ilk exercising a protestant false private opinion has. Because it must be so, cause you read it on a blog, whitesmoke1958, novusordowatch, onepeterfive. And you out yourself cause you say it can only happen under a false pope. Who says? You? Fellow sedevacantists? Aforementioned social media commentariat? The Council and liturgical changes happened under validly elected popes who followed modernism. Hasn't the Church had to deal with such similar heresies in the past? Were they all under false popes? There are good and bad popes, but taking yourself 'underground' is doing satan's will. When in your, or your reading lists, opinion will there be a valid pope? And how? Cause you have to be in the Church to affect change. Your sedevacantist reservation, the lily livered Resist and Do Nothing trad inc reservation - another protestant movement - and the latest infighting between the new kids on the blog (here) and trad inc are all designed to take the spotlight off the serious Catholic crisis: the true sede vacant matter before us, there is no pope in Rome, and this cannot be allowed to continue. Not the 1958 recipe, nor 1963 recipe, but juridical church law where the cardinals have elected Cardinal Prevost in violation of two, not rescinded, papal laws: Ex Cum Apostalatus Officio of Pope Paul IV and Universi Dominici Gregis of Pope John Paul II. In both cases the laws say that the conclave is irritus, that is it never happened.
If the Catholic commentariat keep saying 'look over there' and pull the wool over the faithful's eyes, then they are ushering in the Church of the Antichrist. Two thirds of the cardinals have been written to and made fully aware of the situation, but have done nothing. Not a single canonist has refuted what Brother Bugnolo has written, which only underlines that there is a juridical sede vacante. But true Catholic Action does not throw its hands up and say, I'm off to the underground, no, as in Medieval times Catholics take action. Nicholas II, in his papal bull, In Nomine Domini, created the present means whereby the Roman Pontiff is elected, but he also wrote that should the cardinals fail to observe the precepts (Paul IV, John Paul II) then it should fall back upon the faithful of Rome to elect the pope, as transpired up until his bull.
This where Catholic Action needs to lead us to restore a true Catholic pope on the See of Peter. The cardinals have proved incapable in their duties, so the faithful of Rome need to come together to save Holy Mother
Thank you for this! I thought I was going crazy wondering if anyone out there was seeing the Leo is Francis dressed in Traditional vestments and saying prayers in Latin
The problem is that neither Sedevacantism nor Recognize and Resist are sufficient responses to this crisis. Hope is not a strategy. You cannot just hope one day the Pope is a good Catholic. You need to plan for the future in a concrete and realistic way. That would look a lot like Eastern Orthodoxy, in that you would affirm Tradition but deny the Pope any role in defending it, and just get on with your life.
I agree holdheartedly. The only solution is the canonical one: that a true pope be always elected validly unlike Prevost as detailed by Brother Bugnolo's canonical analysis.
There were no real alternatives to Bergoglio since there were no candidates that presented themselves. Besides it is better to have a valid pope who receives the graces of Jesus’s prayer (Matthew 18:18 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heave, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”) than not. In any case, the consequence of the election is that Pope Francis acted Catholic from January 30th when he was elected to when he signed Fiducia Supplicans. Also, there was an overwhelming opposition to FS from all parts of the church, something not seen after Amoris Laetitia. And it was then that God allowed Pope Francis’s health to begin to decline.
And in December of that same year he signed Fiducia Supplicans, rejecting the special graces he was receiving from Jesus's prayer for the pope. But even then the Holy Spirit acted through his church. First, a lightening bolt blew off the keys and halo off the statue of St Peter at the Virgen del Rosario shrine north of Buenos Aires where he had been Bishop for many hears.
Secondly, there was a great opposition against FS from many Bishops and laity, something that had not been seen when Amoris Laetitia was published or other heresies he taught.
The very moment that man Prevost appeared with Papal Vestments and then said that he would continue on Francis' Synodal Path, that statement alone told me, like a siren announcing a tornado, that this man was Francis II. As a 71 year old man, I learned long ago the bullshit of "wolves in sheeps clothing." Francis and Leo Francis are perfect examples of what our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was referring to when he used this stark image of evil men.
Yes, the BS radar gets sharpened with age lol. I stand amazed at the naivete of the so-called catholic world, preferring to have their ears tickled and wandering off to fables.
You fools! You are being played by Kokxjacksoninc doing the same thing as trad catholics, keeping Catholics on the Leo is pope reservation. Dishonest reprobates! Brother Bugnolo, whom you malign, has difinitively juridicaly proved that Cardinal Prevost is not the pope, and you won't go there as you know he has spoken the truth and nobody has contradicted him, not any canon lawyer. There is a special place in hell for such who as wolves lead the faithful astray. Shame on you!
I get your zeal, but making the jump to sedevacantism is not necessary. What difference does it concretely make if person A says you are not the legitimate pope so I dont recognize you and person B says you are questionable and by your words and actions you are not MY pope so i dont recognize you. You seem to be splitting a hair that does need need splitting. And fighting your fellow trad needlessly.
I don't think you understand what I wrote, Evangeline. Either Leo XIV is or is not the pope. He is not the pope due to the fact that his said elevation was made iritus by two papal laws: Cum Apostolatus Officio of Pope Paul IV and the latest papal law governing conclaves, Universi Dominici Gregis, by John Paul II. The Church is divinely juridically instituted, and laws matter; that which you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. The laws I just enumerated are the ones that designate that we are in a state of sede vacante, as opposed to the sede vacantists of the 1958, or is it 63, variety which is a matter of private (protestant) opinion. If you don't want to split the hair as you so crvenly call it, then you stick with Cardinal Prevost as your pope, while I will stick with Holy Mother.
Mr Hall says, of Prevost, "Yeah, sure...Synodality, collegiality, fidelity to Bergoglio...but I think a little historical perspective... is needed...Pope Benedict..."
He then goes on to speak of the 'governance' of V2-Ratzinger V V2-Bergoglio and also the one withered hand of Prevost that recycles bits of actual Catholicism against the elephantine mitt that promotes the whole V2 evil. Of course the withered hand wins for Mr Hall. To be fair he's coming up against the thing about SSPX priests who must make some of vow of fidelity to the policy of pretending an heresiarch is the Vicar of Christ because that 'idol in the vestibule' of the chapel is de fide in the post-Lefebvre SSPX.
I am sure you are probably correct, you seem to have studied the issue, which I admire. We need more Catholics who really know canon law, etc. These are the Catholics who keep the hirelings on their toes. I do not have that knowledge, just, i hope, the sensus fidei I believe God gives every catholic. If Leo is invalid for any reason, but the majority of catholics say he is, frankly, theres not much to be done about that, realistically speaking. You can choose to resist, as I do, even though the pope question is still out there. Personally, I cant see how Francis or Leo could be pope when they arent recognizably Catholic, but many others disagree so...
I can only speak for my family, we will ignore Leo as we did Francis. We are frankly disgusted by the hierarchy of the church. When the TLM is gone we will most likely be as well. This seems to be what they want. God save the church.
Excellent points Mr. Kokx! To think things are going to improve with Vatican II still in place is to simply live outside of reality.
Keep up the good work, Stephen. A 1972 Loyola, Chicago graduate here. How did you survive it? But I know, dead bodies flow downstream, and you weren't dead.

Hi, Patrick what do you think of TIPS current trajectory. They seem also to jump the Trad Inc, popesplainer ship as SSPX in part sadly (has to ?) do.
From RorateCaeli I think or Traditioninaction, I believe I read there Was a big break within them in the 90s pre so. They changed for the worse...
Super, you lost me with that word TIPS. TFPS?? If so, I don't pay much attention to them anymore, however much I was enthralled by them decades ago.
Yes annoying autocorrect it was tfp.

Maybe people just want to have hope, at least for a little while before reality crushes them.
Perhaps we're at that juncture where hope meets reality, and it's not pleasant.
This is all why I eventually became a Sede.
My first inkling that we didn't have a valid pope was seeing Francis on the loggia after being elected & his first words were "Buona sera!" i.e. "Good evening!" Then after witnessing his abominable words & deeds for a few years I came across "Papal Imposters"
